Marshal has taught continuing education courses in real estate law for real estate agents, attorneys, title insurance agents, home builders and community association managers. His special area of study is community associations, as he is a principal author of Pennsylvania's Uniform Planned Community Act, adopted in 1996.

Marshal enjoys instructing continuing education classes, believing he learns as much, by preparing for and teaching classes, as the participants do. His style of instruction includes giving real life examples to illustrate complicated legal concepts, and involves the students in interactive study.
